“I find it easier to talk to people and I’m less anxious”

Hi my name is Curtis I am 20 years old and I have never had a job. 

I finished College two years ago and I have been applying for jobs ever since but I have had no luck. 

I find it frustrating that nobody ever gets back to me or lets me know how I could improve to help me find work. I think my biggest barrier to employment is a lack of confidence and being scared to put myself out there because I feel like I might not be good enough 

My sister told me about Hamlet and said it might be a good way to get some experience that could help me get a job. I was really nervous on my first shift but the boys in the kitchen really brought me out of my shell and made me feel confident that I could do the tasks. The boys are always open and funny and I feel like I can trust them. 

The staff at Hamlet are always really positive and willing to help me out with everything I do which I am really grateful for, I feel a lot more confident now and I don’t second guess myself like I used to. 

After being at Hamlet I find it easier to talk to people and I feel a lot less anxious.
